- 1/4 lb butter
- 1 Cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 Cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 and 1/2 Cup flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 and 1/2 Cup of milk
Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs; add cornmeal. Sift dry ingrdients together and add to cornmeal mixture alternately with the milk.
Bake in greased 8 inch pan at 375°F for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
