Raspberry brownies


  • 3 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/2 Cup butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 Cup flour
  • 1 1/2 CUp chopped walnuts
  • 1/3 Cup raspberry jam

Melt chocolate in a double boiler along with the butter and let cool a little.
Mix eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt together. Blend in the melted chocolate, then add the flour and finally add the walnuts.

Pour into an 8" square pan that has been well greased. Bake at 325° F for 40 minutes.

Spoon jam over brownies. Pour glaze over (recipe follows)

Top with Velvet Chocolate Glaze when the brownies have cooled down

Velvet Chocolate Glaze: 1 unsweetened chocolate sqs, 2 tablespoon butter, 2 tablespoon light corn syrup, 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon milk 1 teaspoon vanilla .
Melt chocolate. Blend in butter and light corn syrup. Stir in powdered sugar, milk and vanilla; mix well.
