preheat the oven to 275 F
Combine 1 Cup of dark brown sugar and 1/2 Cup of water and microwave at 50% for 5 minutes.
Add 1 t of salt and4 t of vanilla and stir
Combine 8 Cups of oats, 2 Cups of coconut, 2 Cups of pecans in a large bowl.
Pour the syrup over the oats and mix well
Spread on 2 cookie sheets covered with parchment paper and bake for 50 minutes total switching position and stirring half way
You can add 1 Cup of sliced almonds 15 minutes before it’s done
When done let cool a little and add 1 Cup of raisins and dried cranberries each
