Finally, a perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe: gooey and rich .... just how they should be!
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup or 170 g melted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract (or a bit more if you like vanilla)
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 and 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Mix together flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
Cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well mixed. Beat in the vanilla, egg and egg yolk until creamy.
Mix in the dry ingredients just enough to be fully incorporated.
Stir in the chocolate chips by hand.
Eat some cookie dough, but not too much or you will feel sick.
Space out blobs of cookie dough on a cookie sheet that has been greased or lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil (use recycled foil).
Bake for 15-17 minutes.

Enjoy with a glass of whole milk...
